Beth Hergesheimer is a Southern California native and has been a resident of Encinitas for sixteen years. She received her degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources Management from Cal Poly, Pomona and has worked in hospital, manufacturing and engineering Human Resource settings. She has served on the San Dieguito Board since 2004 and has completed the California School Board Association’s Masters in Governance certificate program.
Working as a community volunteer, Beth has represented local schools on Legislative Advisory Committees traveling to Sacramento to speak on behalf of public education concerns. She has also served as PTA President and School Site Liaison and as Vice President of Health and Safety for PTA, and has volunteered for 9 years as a member and chairperson for Advisory Committees of two not-for-profit preschools. While on the San Dieguito Union High School District Board of Trustees, she has served twice in each of the President, Vice President and Clerk roles.
Beth and her husband, Peter, live in Encinitas with two of their three sons. All three of their sons have graduated from district schools and attend or have graduated from programs at UC Davis, USC, and Palomar Community College.
