John Salazar, a native of Southern
California, moved to San Diego in 1977. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in
Business Marketing, and a minor in Political Science from San Diego State
University.
After graduation, he worked for a local congressman, then formed his own
Marketing Company. He spent the next 25 years growing the firm, which ultimately
became an industry leader in customer service and acquisition. Mr. Salazar
left the company in 2009 to pursue other interests. He has since worked for the
San Dieguito and Escondido School Districts, serving as a substitute teacher.
Mr. Salazar
currently serves on the County Service Authority 83/83A Advisory
Committee, and served as a board member of the Natural History
Museum. He held previous membership in the San Diego Rotary, and
was an active leader in the Ecke YMCA Trailmate and Princess
camping programs.
