Where to start - Earth and Space or Biology?
Check out the course profile department recommendations for Earth and Space and Biology. Make a 4 year plan - What classes do you plan to take? If you take Biology as a freshman will you be ready for Chemistry as a sophomore? Look at the recommended math levels as a guide.
Can I take Anatomy and Physiology as a freshman?
Yes, it is highly recommended that you have completed biology. You can take biology first term and Anatomy and Physiology second term. Check out the course profiles.
Current Students
Do you have a 4-year plan?
In terms of college applications - It is highly recommended that you be enrolled in a science in 10th and 11th grade...in terms of applying to colleges - if 2 years is required, and 3 years is recommended then 4 years of science puts you above the competition.
What science class should I take next?
The science department recommends completing the cores - biology, chemistry and physics - then expanding into science electives and AP courses. Check out the course profiles for recommendations. Talk to your current or last science teacher - do you have a 4 year plan?
Am I ready for an AP Science course?

Why is Physics recommended before taking AP Physics B?

Am I ready for AP Physics C?
Have you completed AP Physics B? AP Physics B is a comprehensive advanced physics course that prepares students for a college major in the sciences, specifically physics and engineering. For success in AP Physics C, students need to have physics and calculus knowledge. Check out the course profile pages for course descriptions and recommendations.
Wait List?
Students that drop a science class in the Fall term, will be wait listed for the Spring term and may have to wait until the following year to take the course. How to avoid this problem? Be ready to go on the first day of school.
