Student Physicals

It will be the responsibility of each athlete to obtain his/her physical from their own doctor. Fall athletes will be most impacted by this. Please make your appointments now for the 2009-2010 school year. Remember that all new physicals need to be done AFTER June 1st, 2009 to be valid for the 2009-2010 school year. The CCA athletic packet can be downloaded off the athletic website. Thank you.

Winter Athletic Packet Deadlines 2009-2010

Winter athletic packets will be due no later than Friday November 6th, 2009. Please remember we will need a copy of your student's most recent progress report (October 09) and an updated physical turned in with the packet. If you have already turned in a completed fall athletic packet, only submit a copy of your student(s) updated CCA grades (October 09 progress report) to Mrs. Candia in the athletic office by the winter packet deadline. The athletic packet will not be cleared or processed if it is not turned in complete. Winter Clearance Cards will be available for pick up in CCA Athletic Office located in the Administration building on November 12th & 13th from 7:30- 4:00pm before school, during lunch, and after school. Please keep in mind winter sports begin Saturday November 14th, 2009. Please plan accordingly to the above deadlines, dates and Clearance Card pick up times.

Please note: All CCA winter tryout times and dates will be available on CCA athletic website on Friday November 6th.

NCAA Eligibility Center

If you are currently a Junior and are hoping to participate in Athletics at the college level, you need to click on the NCAA Clearinghouse link to the left. Contact your C.C.A. Counselor for more information regarding the NCAA Clearinghouse!!!!!

Independent Study PE

If you are interested, you can also download and print the Independent Study P.E. packet or pick one up at Canyon Crest Academy during normal school hours. If you need extra copies of the ISPE log, you can download and print just the ISPE log .

Athletics Teams at CCA for the 2009-2010 School Year

Please note: CCA athletes will compete at the JV and Varsity level in the Coastal League South for the 2008-2009 school year. All Aquatics programs and Field Hockey will compete in the North County Conference in the Valley League.

Fall Sports: 8/12 to 11/13

Cross Country, Girls' Golf, Boys' Water Polo, Field Hockey, Girls' Tennis and Girls' Volleyball

Winter Sports: 11/14 to 2/19

Boys' Basketball, Girls' Basketball, Boys' Soccer, Girls' Soccer, Girls' Water Polo and Wrestling

Spring Sports: 2/20 to 6/1

Boys' Golf, Boys' Lacrosse, Girls' Lacrosse, Softball, Baseball, Swimming, Boys' Tennis, Boys' Volleyball and Track

Directions to Campus!

If you are coming to CCA for an Athletic event it is always best to park in the western most student lot and enter through the pedestrian gate to the fields and tennis courts.

From the 56 Freeway: Exit Carmel Valley Road. Turn North onto Carmel Valley Road. Go right on Edgewood Bend Court and enter school through the back gate. Or proceed to Village Center Loop Road and go right. Then turn right into the front of the school.
