School-wide Academic Support Programs

There are a number of academic supports available to students in support of their success at CVMS. Some programs are by invitation due to space limitations. Programs include:

Saturday Seminar:
Students can receive four hours of additional academic support from CVMS teachers in the four core academic subjects: English, math, science, and social studies.  Times are 8:00 to 10:00 on the designated Saturdays.  Sign-up sheets are available in the counseling office or click here to view invitation.

Tutoring:
The math department offers regular tutoring sessions before school and after school.  Click here for the Math tutoring schedule.

The foreign language department offers Spanish tutoring on Thursdays.

Spanish I-Thursdays, 7:45-8:25 am    Room 610

Spanish II-Thursdays, 7:45-8:25 am   Room 503

Teachers are also available to provide extra support by appointment. All teachers are available by email. Please refer to the staff list on the school’s website.

Bobcat Connection:
Students can receive peer tutoring for organizational support from our Leadership students twice a week in the Media Center on Mondays and Thursday during the Homeroom period.  A CVMS teacher is also available to provide assistance.  Students are referred by teachers, counselors, and assistant principals.
