Terry Hendlin, MSW, LCSW
I am been delighted to be the counselor at Sunset/North Coast High Schools in Encinitas. I facilitate twelve support groups a week with adolescents from ages 14-19 and love my job because of the unique and wonderful students and staff at the school. When I first came here fifteen years ago, I thought of maybe staying a year or two-that was before discovering what a close and caring school this is. I co-founded the Having a Voice program, a Leadership Training for Latino students in the San Dieguito Union High School District. In 2001 I was named as a Chargers' Champion Educator for my work with students and the student support group program. College counseling and post-high school opportunities are also areas I enjoy working with. I am perhaps most proud of being a mom and having two amazing sons who graduated from Torrey Pines High School and very recently, UC Berkeley.
