Terry Calen, Principal
Welcome all new and returning students and parents to the 2010/11 school year. I am excited to begin my 35th year in education and my 8th year as Principal of Oak Crest Middle School. This year we anticipate a student population around 885 students which is about 100 less than last year. We welcome back our assistant principal Mike Modeer for his second year at Oak Crest. Mike is from Capistrano School District. Be sure to view his web page to learn more about him. We are lucky to have added two experienced teachers in the special education department. Teaching math we welcome Joe Arnold. Joe has taught at San Dieguito Academy and Carmel Valley Middle School. Teaching English we welcome Jesse Mindlin. Jesse comes to us from Torrey Pines High School. I look forward to working with you this year to make your child's experience at Oak Crest a positive, fun and productive one.
