Summer School

2010

SDUHSD will receive no funding to run Summer School in 2010.

SDUHSD will NOT run a traditional Summer School Program in 2010.  A very small program will be run for the Class of 2010 Seniors who fell short of graduation, and for the Class of 2011 Juniors who are in danger of not graduating.

Our High School administrators and counselors will individually enroll eligible students in an Independent Study Model Program.  Based on prior years’ data, we anticipate this program will be small.  Details of this program will be communicated through our High School Counselors later this spring.  This limited Summer School Program will run from June 25 through July 23.  A site for Summer School will be determined by May 1.

Because of this difficult budget situation, no Summer School will be available for either incoming middle school students, current middle school students, or current 9^th and 10^th graders.

An extended School Year Program for Special Education students will be run at TPHS, per State and Federal law.  As always, details for this program will be communicated through our Special Education staff.
